While the name proposes this smoothie might be relevant for St. Patrick's Day, it's ideal to drink all year. This heavenly, incredible smoothie gives you a serving of vegetables from the kale, sound fat from the avocado and protein from the milk.
Makes 1 serving, 8 ounces milk for each serving
Ingredients:
1 cup - kale leaves (stripped from the stalks)
1/2 cup - low-fat or fat free milk
1/2 cup - ice cubes
1/2 - ripe avocado, peeled and seeded
1 tablespoon - honey
1/2 teaspoon - mint extract
1/4 teaspoon - vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon - lime or lemon juice
Directions:
Mix all ingredients in a blender; mix until smooth. Serve right away.
